Frank Butler worked as a Detective Sergeant in UK law enforcement for over 26 years, and in digital forensic investigations since 1984. The last 7 years of Frank’s police service was spent as the officer in charge of the Computer Crimes Unit.
He was the arresting and interviewing officer of Carl Austin Strickland (the UNIX hacker known as Gandalf), the first hacker in the UK to receive a custodial sentence.
Frank worked for Guidance Software on 3 Continents as the Director of their Global Authorised Training Partner programme. Latterly Frank worked locally in Singapore before founding Bounga Informatics Pte. Ltd. in 2016.
