Colin is the Chief Technology Officer for BT’s Global division, heading up the team responsible for helping to shape BT’s customer solution architecture and strategy. Part of his responsibility is to predict technology trends and future customer technology roadmaps. Colin acts is a trusted advisor for many CIO’s.
Colin is a veteran in the industry whose expertise is in designing, deploying and running some of the worlds largest next generation networks. Colin has a holistic philosophy to network design, working back from business outcomes, user experience and applications dev strategy to inform the intuitive network, architecture, systems and service wrap design.
As well as sitting on a number of technology advisory boards, Colin lectures at Warwick University on Disruptive Innovation. Colin was named as one of the 50 CTOs to watch by Global Telecoms magazine.
James is BTs VP for Security across Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) In this role he is responsible for leading a team across the region to help BTs customers, including the largest global MNCs and Governments to manage their security requirements to ensure they protect what matters most. As MD for South East Asia and Australasia James is also responsible for external relations, and governance of the operational activities of over 1,000 people across the region.
Since joining BT in 1997, James has held several senior positions across the business including finance, product and proposition management, business development, operational roles including major incident management during the UK Olympics as well as leading business units such as Redcare (BTs Physical security business). Before taking up his current role, James was CEO BT Media & Broadcast, managing director of carrier, channel and MVNO sales for BT Wholesale, where he oversaw a £1bn per annum business delivering a number of world firsts – including the first ever live broadcast of 4K television in March 2015.
James is also an active board member of the British chamber of Commerce in Singapore where he has been living for the last 2 1/2 years his wife.
James holds a MSc in Business and Telecommunications from University College London and BA in Economics.
Navin joined StarHub’s 5G team in Oct 2019. As Industry Development Director, he will identify and lead the development of new 5G products and services for enterprises and consumers. He is currently actively involved in establishing trial programmes with various industry partners for the development of innovative 5G use cases and solutions.
Prior to this, Navin was with local public transport operator SMRT Corp Ltd for 8 years where he held appointments in various Railway Maintenance, Project Bidding, and Corporate functions. He led teams that focused on improving operational efficiency standards, regulatory collaboration avenues, and enterprise risk management.
